TGKP Summer Business Breakfast, July 2015

Our Summer Business Breakfast took place on Tuesday 14th July at the Bridgewood Manor Hotel, Chatham.  A full report on the event, feedback from discussions and recommended next steps can be found here.

  • Gordon Jones (Kreston Reeves) giving an overview of measures in the Chancellor's Summer Budget and their implications for businesses;
  • Dawn Hudd (Chair, Institute of Economic Development), looking at the Government's legislative programme and likely impacts on businesses and the support provided by the public sector;
  • Robin Cooper (Chief Executive, Ebbsfleet Development Corporation), outlining the ambitions for Ebbsfleet Garden City and the new Development Corporation's role in delivery; and
  • Steve Leahey (Principal, Leigh UTC), talking about how businesses can engage more effectively with schools and colleges, and illustrating the University Technical College approach.

TGKP Summer Business Breakfast, June 2014

Hosted by TGKP Chairman Rob Bennett, around 80 delegates gathered to hear about latest developments in North Kent, about successful bids for 0% loans under the TIGER programme, other funding and business support services including the Growth Accelerator, and to discuss key issues around skills, access to finance and business support.
