TGKP Responds to National Infrastructure Commission call for evidence

In November 2015 the National Infrastructure Commission issued a call for evidence on infrastructure priorities and challenges.  The invitation covered three topics: connecting northern cities; London's transport infrastructure; and balancing electricity supply and demand.

TGKP has responded to the Commission focusing on connectivity and London's transport.  We emphasise the crucial role of the Thames Gateway in supporting London's future and the case for continued investment in the Gateway, including measures to improve rail capacity such as extension of Crossrail from Abbey Wood to Gravesend; and the vital need for an holistic approach to investment in the corridors through Kent & Medway linking London, the Midlands and the North to the Channel Ports and European markets.
