Docking Station - Design Tender Invitation

The University of Kent in partnership with Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust and Medway Council have published a tender for architects to design concepts for the Docking Station, a multi-use creative hub re-purposing the Grade II listed 'Police Section House' in Chatham's Historic Dockyard.

The new Docking Station will be an environmentally sustainable, innovative and dynamic ‘University of the Future’. Bringing together industry with local creative practitioners, students, academics and young people, the building will feature state-of-the art digital facilities, flexible co-working spaces and an immersive, interactive performance and gallery space for both research and presentation of projects.

The project is part of the programme being delivered by Creative Estuary to realise the ambitions of the Thames Estuary Production Corridor.

Details of the tender invitation can be found on the University of Kent portal. The deadline for submission is the 3rd March 2021.
